Grist Mill

The Cedar Creek Grist Mill is a working museum, or at least was when COVID 19 did not rule our lives. You can still visit the mill location and lovely covered bridge and sometimes you might get lucky, and see fish working their way up the river.

One of the best things to see in Woodland Washington is this mill. My last visit had me witnessing fish jumping up the creek. This is a very popular location for local and traveling landscape photographers. During this visit, there was a German couple visiting and the husband and photographer climbed down the steep banks by the covered bridge to gain a viewpoint without the moss-covered tree branches in the camera's eye.

This location is along the Cowlitz County Scenic drive and is one of many places you can find along the way that will ease your soul and if you are a photographer like I am, find inspiration and subjects to try to capture.
